They all bitched at each other and all the subplots are centered about what one kid "overheard" about that kid's drinking problem.. I could go on and on..

AdrienneGrayceMusic 6 September I was 11 when this came out and I absolutely loved it. It came out shortly after , which I also loved. I watched all of the Nickelodeon tv series back then.

Now looking back, I am realizing how corny it was and how BAD the acting was. But wow, did Ryan Reynolds change.. Who would have known that the little guy Billy on Fifteen would be a big time super star.

My year old self would rate this a 10, but as an adult, I have it a 7. Eschete 11 April I was talking to my nephew about bad television shows the other day when this one came to mind.

I remember watching it with friends in junior high just to laugh at how stupid and badly-produced it was. All I can really remember is a character named Dylan who was supposed to be a rebel and Dylan's ugly girlfriend.

Why were so many characters named Dylan in the early nineties? What a stupid name. They seem to have actually let the actor play No post-edit!

And, when the actor finished, the audience clapped and cheered. I remember laughing and laughing at this episode.

And talk about wooden acting! They had the obligatory "anti-alcohol" episode. And one kid had to pretend to be drunk.

Oh, God! I'd give anything to see this show again! I used to love this show and watched it religiously when I was younger.

It started the career of so many young talented stars who have gone on to make top movies and TV shows. Ryan Reynolds of "Smoking Aces," "Amytiville Horror," and "Waiting" and Laura Harris "Dead like Me" and "24" were so young when they were on this show, but even then they showed they could pack a punch with their acting.

I often wondered why we haven't seen this re-done or at least re-released on DVD for all us fans who used to be so enamored with the great acting and writing on the series.

Ah to re-live the 90's! The other thing that rocked about this show was the story lines. I mean, they dealt with some real adult issues and it wasn't in an "ABC after school special" sort of way.

I wish there were more quality content like this on the air now. One of Nickelodeon's best shows before selling-out patricklew 15 October Fifteen was one of the coolest shows I watched when I was a little kid.

And the plots were just like a teen show you would see on MTV. I totally remember the show , but not the episodes.

I wish Nickelodeon would bring this show back with re-runs. They're not great as they used to anymore. Please bring back Fifteen , Roundhouse , Welcome Freshmen , and all those shows from the early 90s please!

Okay, the writing wasn't great, and the acting was what you'd expect from middle-schoolers. But the story lines did resonate with kids.

The production values were poor and the cast tiny because the show obviously had a very small budget. One or two other reviewers mentioned that the cast were playing people their own age, which I thought was fantastic.

I can't even watch "high schoolers" who are pushing 30; how lame is that? One thing I did not see mentioned is that I don't believe the show ever had an adult in any scene.

Not wanting to show up the kid actors? Or brilliant effort to make the show unique? That was a stroke of genius, and I think it helped the show a great deal.

Just as in real life, these kids were working out their problems themselves in their own half-baked way. The comparison with dopey sitcoms like "Saved by the Bell" and overproduced crapola like "Glee" miss the point.

This was an attempt to do something on the edge, something that spoke to real people on a level deeper than entertainment. It was a success, and that's why people remember it.

I used to watch this show when I was a little girl. When I think about it, I remember it pretty well. If you ask me, it was a good show.

Two other things I remember pretty well are the opening sequence and theme song. In addition to that, everyone was ideally cast.

Also, the writing was very strong. The performances were top-grade, too. I hope some network brings it back so I can see every episode. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that I'll always remember this show in my memory forever, even though I'm not sure if I've seen every episode.

Now, in conclusion, if some network ever brings it back, I hope that you catch it one day before it goes off the air for good.

Absolutely Horrible kelkel75 21 March I actually watched it once when I was a teen, but I couldn't sit through more than one episode I think there was a marathon of the show on that day I wonder how many people slit their wrists that day???

This show made "Saved by the Bell" and "Parker Lewis can't lose" seem realistic.. I hope I never find it on T. V again! I loved 15 Mattswife97 20 May I have to agree with another person's comment, I also would like to see re-runs of fifteen since it's been a very long time since I've seen it.

Fifteen deals with everyday teenager problems. From drinking to bullying. I also agree that there should have been a few more characters since it was mostly at school.

Please let me know if you are ever going to show it again. I will record it next time so I can always cherish the show.

This was one series I really liked. It seems like Nickelodeon made a curve to the outside corner by landing "Fifteen" But the fact that it made it to 65 episodes was a good thing.

But even with the series more than 15 years old it seems like it could be run another network and a new "Fifteen" could return to television.

Ashley was one of my favorites. The various outfits she wore on "Fifteen" The music worked in between scenes.

I liked how the series was filmed in three different locations. Orlando was a decent location to film the later seasons and you can tell that.

I was in the studio audience for "Figure it out" before but I would of loved to see the making of a "Fifteen" episode. When I think of Nickelodeon in the 's this is one series that scored well in my book.

We need more things like this on TV. Nickelodeon doesn't let their TV series deal with issues this was one that dealt with them.

I have to agree with most everyone's opinion that this show was poorly produced as well as written. The acting was not much more above the lower production values however I feel an actor can only rely on the material provided to them and make the best of it.

We stayed at the Playacar and enjoyed it very much. I think you will be please with the Tequila. We went over there one day.

It is really nice. Tequila is an easy walk to the beach, right across the street from the Riu Yucatan and Riu Palace Mexico.

It's really not an awful lot further than some resorts that are right on the beach. You can use all facilities of the Rius Yucatan, Playacar and Lupita except as ohsage said you are expected to eat dinner at your own resort.

Breakfast, lunch, drinks anytime, entertainment all free. You don't though have access to either of the two Riu Palaces.

Downtown is a good 20 - 30 minute walk, depends upon your speed and time of day heat. Cheaper using pesos. We usually walk in and taxi back because of all the packages we're carrying.

There is also a nice small shopping plaza just down the street from the Tequila, maybe 3 - 5 minutes. Oops forgot to mention the town.

However if you're up for it I would walk at least once. There are some Mayan Ruins to walk around and we thought it was fun. Now on the way back or any more trips to town I would suggest taking a cab.

There is shopping complex next door to you or across the street from the Playacar. We walked around there quite often.

I have stayed in the Tequila about 2 years ago. In regards to the beach. You have to cross the street and take a path. I'd say it's more than a 5 minute walk but maybe that's because we got the cheapest room and were in the far back of the resort.

Heck, it took about 5 minutes for me to get to meals. It's where our group spent most of it's time. My suggestion to you for the Tequila unless they have upgraded in the past 2 years is to request or bring something of your own some sort of bed topper.

I know that's not the right word but something that can make it softer All of us had beds that were hard as rocks, to the point that it was pretty unbearable had all of the great booze not been involved I might not have slept at all.

Don't want to be a debbie downer for your trip, but I did want to warn you because it was the only thing that I could have dreamed about complaining about during my 5 days of fun and sun!

It looks like everybody pretty much filled you in on everything. We have been to the Tequila 2 times before and are going again in April.

Just a couple of tips for ya The walk into town is about mins and yes a cab ride is 5 bucks 50 pesos but my wife and I when we are feeling lazy take the Riu Lupita beach shuttle into town.

It drops off and picks up at entrance to the Lupita beach club every 30 minutes and will drop you off at the entrance to 5th avenue.

It will also pick you up across the street from 5th to take you back to your resort. Although this shuttle stops running at pm it is free to use, so you might want to go this way.

Have a great trip and dont let the fact that the Tequila is not beach get you down.. Also, there is a Starbucks at the little shopping mall just out side of the Tequila if you are a coffe lover.

They must have replaced the beds recently. If you have any specific questions please feel free to send me a message since I was just there Jan Hmmm, anyone going to bring up the fact that the beach is being replenished right now and may not be open in this area?

In keeping with this thought I feel it is important to point out that one actor has risen and persevered well beyond this campy to tasteless production to have become a respectable and quite talented performer.

I am referring to Laura Harris a Canadian born actor who has etched her way through many poorly produced shows and movies to find a place on the HBO hit "Dead Like Me" where she plays the role of Daisy Adair and to her credit she handles this role in an efficient manner.

I remember having a typical boyhood crush on the young actress during this series where she played Ashley a soft spoken yet intelligent 7th grader.

I felt as though if anyone might "make it" from this series it surely would be Laura Harris and true to her nature she did excel in the acting field to win the respect of many producers who now recognize her for her talent as well as unique Nordic blond allure.

If you ever do have the opportunity to view this series I recommend that you have something epic to watch after wards such as the 'Godfather' or perhaps 'Beaches' in order to remind yourself that there is after all a great deal of true production integrity and value out there and that this series is only a low-budget reminder of what Laura Harris can simply state about her time on the show and I bet she would quote many a young actors words of defense by saying "It's a start!

The continuing High School saga was a Sunday ritual until it's demise. Who can forget those Canadian accents in the 1st 2 seasons.

It was nice that they used actual teenagers instead of the typical 20 something usuals that appear in teen shows and movies. Down the line there were great characters, Brooke the snob, Jake the loser, Dylan the rebel, Billy Ryan reynolds was a rebel wannabe but an OK kid, then he turned into a jerk.

Arsemann was nice as was David. How about when Chris fired Dylan from the band teenagers In Love and replaced him with Roxanne who was a horrible singer.

Arsemann was actually a good singer, but quit when tensions rose. The band could only perform one song and what a great one it was Now we just need the DVD's to come out.

Let us not forget. Nickelodeon was a launching pad for many future B list stars. Few children today watching the Kids' Choice Awards are aware of the slime's origin or what the trigger was for getting slimed.

Though Ryan Reynolds was playing the 13 year old little bratty brother Billy, he was still a prominent character. Thought, Alanis Morrisette was on "You Can't Do That on Television" probably near the time Ryan Reynolds was on "Fifteen" - could that have been the basis for the relationship they share today?

Just a thought. It was a great squishy teen drama that I loved to watch being in late elementary school and early middle school Saturday afternoons before leaving for piano lessons.

I am a more than a little annoyed I didn't read this before. How far of a shuttle? How long would it take to walk it? Also - anyone know what the deal is with visiting the other Rius?

Can you walk to them? Are you allowed to eat and drink for free? Go to their shows? How far is downtown? I heard it's cute. I am only there for 5 days so want to make the most of this!

I'm going there in March but have never been there. I have been on here reading about the Riu's a lot so I can probably answer your question.

The walk to the beach is supposedly a shaded walk that will take you about five minutes. I think the walk into town is about 15 minutes.

YOu can visit and drink at any of the Riu's except the palace. You also have to have your evening meal at your resort but you can eat in the day time at the rest.

Correct, the beach is not at the Tequila although the walk is only about 5 minutes. Basically it's across the street and down a pathway.

You will be able to use the facilities at the Yucatan and Playacar but not the Palaces. We stayed at the Playacar and enjoyed it very much. I think you will be please with the Tequila.
